Vertex internal newsletter
I work as part of a team of journalists directed by Manchester design and
communications agency Da Vinci to draft stories for outsource specialist
Vertex’s in-house publication.
Called The Vibe, the newsletter is an 8-page, quarterly, news-led
publication. I am responsible for liaising with Vertex’s three North
American sites to identify, draft and obtain approval of stories.
Orafti website
When Belgium-based food ingredients multi-national Orafti decided to
redesign their website, they called on me to rewrite the copy.
This not only required an in-depth understanding of their food ingredient
business, but also tested my ability to communicate a complex food
ingredient in language that is arresting yet simple enough to be
understood by an international audience.
You can see the finished website by visiting
www.orafti.com.
Re:Media corporate brochure
Web specialist Re:Media contacted me last year to help with the revamp of
its corporate brochure. The company wanted to replace its existing ‘coffee
table’ brochure with something that could work as a sales tool by
succinctly outlining its business and services. I drafted the copy to an
extremely timescale and it was virtually unchanged by the client.
CMP customer communications
CMP Information is a Holland-based company that organises international
exhibitions for the food, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical manufacturing
industries.
I am retained by CMP to draft communications for every contact point with
potential visitors and exhibitors. This ranges from sales letters to
e-mailers, award entries and brochure copy. The skill lies in striking a
balance between keeping the communication concise and ensuring it is
persuasive, fresh and original.
